"Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)" Checkbox Reset after Reboot
Hi, I have checked the settings on my computer and the issue does not occur. This issue might be caused by third-party programs, I suggest you perform the following steps. Step 1: Please recreate a wireless connection and check the issue again. Step 2: Please disable the third-party firewall and check the issue in Clean Boot Mode. Hi, I have configured a wireless network connection based on instructions provided by the network administrator. Under the Security tab, the network authentication method is "Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP)". Clicking on "Settings", the "Select Authentication Method:" drop down box is "Secured Password (EAP-MSCHAP v2). Clicking on "Configure", "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)" checkbox should be cleared. I follow these steps, and others detailed by the network administrator, and I can sign in and connect to the network. However, when I reboot my computer and connect again, my PC cannot connect, and I go into the settings, and "Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)" checkbox has been checked. I have to manually uncheck it again before I can connect. This does not happen on every shut down/start up, however I have noticed the less time the computer is off, the less likely this situation is to occur. Could anyone tell me why this is happening, and how to stop my settings being changed? Thank you for your assistance. Network Type: This is a unversity network to provide internet access to student laptops/tablets/phones on campus. I log into my computer using my own private user account/password, and need to provide a student number/student password to access the campus network.
